Explore the Kona coast, its black sand beach and seabed on a cruise with snorkelling and lunch included!
Your starting point will be Keauhou Bay, located on the east side of the island of Hawaii. You'll board your boat for a cruise of around 4 hours, offering the chance to explore the Kona coast and the opportunity to dive into the crystal-clear waters. Captains will be by your side throughout this excursion, sharing fascinating tales of the island's cultural and geological history.
Heading south from Kona, you'll explore black sand beaches, and potentially a stone arch formed from lava thousands of years ago.
You'll have the chance to snorkel in two of Hawaii's Big Island treasures. First, you'll explore the waters of Kealakekua Bay, famous for its history as the ancient burial ground of a Hawaiian kingdom, discovered by James Cook and his ships in 1779. Then you'll head south to Pu'uhonua O Honaunau, a sacred site filled with coral reefs set in shallow waters that are home to a wide variety of plants and animals.
During this excursion, you'll also discover sea caves and lava tubes, formations created when Big Island, the main island of the Hawaiian archipelago, was formed. If you're lucky, you may spot dolphins, whales or even turtles during your trip.
A picnic lunch (sandwich or salad) will be served on board the boat.
