Experience an immersive cycling adventure in the Mekong Delta with an overnight stay at a local homestay!
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Ben Tre
Cycling distance: 25 to 40 km
Trail Difficulty: 2,5/5
After being picked up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, you'll head towards Cai Lay (about a 2-hour drive).
Accompanied by your English-speaking guide, you'll begin your cycling journey through the lush landscapes of the delta: rural villages, tropical plantations, small canals, and scenes of daily local life.
You'll stop at traditional workshops to discover how coconut candies and puffed rice snacks are made. You will also visit a bustling local market and the Catholic church in Cai Be.
Next, you’ll board a boat to sail towards Tan Phong Island and its floating market. A ride in a sampan, a traditional Asian boat, will take you through peaceful canals before enjoying a local lunch.
In the afternoon, you'll continue cycling through orchards and markets on the island. The day ends on Thoi Son Island, where you'll be welcomed into a local homestay for a friendly evening.
Overnight stay in Thoi Son at a local homestay.
Day 2: Ben Tre – Ho Chi Minh City
Cycling distance: 25 to 40 km
Trail Difficulty: 2,5/5
After breakfast, you’ll set off again by bike along rural roads lined with coconut palms.
You’ll follow the Ba Lai branch of the Mekong River and visit workshops that specialize in coconut-based products (candies, cakes, pandan-flavored wafers, etc.).
As you approach the town center, you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, relax in a hammock or go for one last bike ride through the surrounding villages.
You’ll then return by van to Ho Chi Minh City, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel by the end of the day.
