Explore Kyoto by bike for half a day!
This private bike tour of Kyoto's old quarters will allow you to enjoy the outdoors and explore the city without the hassle of using public transport. The route is mostly flat and car-free, making this tour suited to all levels.
After meeting up with your guide, you'll first head to Miyagawa-cho and Gion, two traditional neighbourhoods where geishas live. You'll explore the narrow streets of Gion, and might even bump into a maiko (geisha apprentice) if you're lucky.
You'll then pedal along the Shirakawa River, and head to the Kyoto Gyoen Garden and Imperial Palace.
You'll end the tour with a cycle along the Kamogawa River that runs through the city. Its banks are one of Kyoto's best places to relax and enjoy a walk, and you may spot herons, cormorants and other birds.
Once done, your guide will take you back to Kyoto station.
