Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi in the early morning and drive to the Maasai Mara. On the way, you will pass through the Great Rift Valley where you will enjoy panoramic view of the volcanic mountains. You will arrive at the camp at lunchtime. You will enjoy free time until sunset. At about 4 pm, you will leave for your first game drive. As night falls, the chances of spotting lions increase! You will return to camp in the evening to enjoy a buffet dinner.
Day 2: Maasai Mara
After breakfast, you will leave early in the morning to start your day's safari. Accompanied by a ranger-guide, you will go in search of Africa's Big Five (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalo). At lunchtime, you can enjoy a picnic in the shade while taking in the view of the natural landscape. At the end of the day, you will return to the camp. Buffet dinner included.
Optionally, a guided tour of the Maasai village will be offered at the end of the day (extra charge to be paid locally). Feel free to ask your guide for more information.
Day 3: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park
You will rise at dawn to enjoy breakfast and drive to Nakuru. You will arrive in the late afternoon. After a short game drive at dusk, you will return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Optionally, a sunrise hot air balloon ride will be offered at Maasai Mara (extra charge to be paid locally). Feel free to ask your guide for more information.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi
After breakfast, in the early morning you will leave for a 3-hour safari in Lake Nakuru National Park. Here you can see the rare white rhino that makes Nakuru so special. You will also see pink flamingos on the lake.
You will then drive back to Nairobi, arriving at your hotel at around 3 pm.
