Discover Korean street food on a walking tour of Seoul's famous Namdaemun market!
After meeting up with your English-speaking guide in Seoul, you'll begin by immersing yourself in the unique atmosphere of Namdaemun Market, Korea's largest traditional market, in operation since 1964. With over 10,000 vendors, it's an iconic landmark popular with locals and travelers alike.
Accompanied by your guide, you'll head to Foodie Alley, an alleyway famous for its stalls selling Korean specialties. You'll sample four typical snacks selected from among the most popular street food: knife-cut noodles, grilled fish, galchi jorim (simmered fish), fish cakes and other spicy delights.
Your tour will also take you through alleys dedicated to accessories, food ingredients, and traditional Korean handicrafts. You'll discover the importance of the market in the daily lives of Koreans, as well as the wealth of their culinary heritage.
