Leave the hustle and bustle of the city for a day and explore Beitou and Yangmingshan National Park!
After meeting your guide in downtown Taipei, you'll take the bus to Beitou district, north of the capital and famous for its hot springs.
The next stop on your tour is the Beitou Hot Spring Museum: This former Victorian bathhouse, built during the Japanese colonial period, now houses exhibitions tracing the origins of the region's hot springs. Nearby is Geothermal Valley, a volcanic crater filled with sulfurous water.
Continue a little further north into Yangmingshan National Park to visit several must-see sites: the Flower Clock, Yangmingshuwu Residence and Zhuzihu.
After lunch (not included, at your own expense), you'll continue your exploration of the park by heading to the Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area, a vast complex of volcanic paths. You can observe its many fumaroles and stroll along its footpaths.
You'll also visit Qingtiangang, an ancient lava terrace covered by lush green grassland.
Finally, you'll stop off at the Lengshuikeng Recreation Area, where you can enjoy a footbath in a hot spring to soothe your legs after a day's walking!
You'll be driven back to Taipei at the end of the tour.
