Enjoy a guided tour of Jerusalem's old town and new town and explore the iconic landmarks!
Head to Mount Scopus from your hotel. Gaze out at the breathtaking view of Jerusalem, the Old City, the Temple Mount, and the Dome of the Rock. Below, you'll also spot a 3,000-year-old Jewish cemetery.
Head down the mountain and pass the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations and the Kidron Valley, and some ancient Jewish graves.
Continue your tour in the Jewish Quarter and discover the Cardo, a street carved out by the Byzantines 1500 years ago. Today, plenty of modern shops line this street.
Head on to the Western Wall, a sacred Jewish site. This wall is the only part of the Second Temple that remained intact when it was destroyed in 70 AD. You can even place a prayer on a piece of paper between the wall's stones.
You'll continue your visit to the Old City along the Via Dolorosa, which Jesus walked down carrying his cross on his back. At the end of the Via Dolorosa you'll find the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This sacred church is located where Jesus was crucified and where his tomb is. The church contains more than 30 chapels as well as many relics.
You'll then take a lunch break and explore the Old City's bazaar.
Next, it'll be time to leave the Old City to discover the modern side. Visit the Yad VaShem Holocaust Museum and view the collection of artefacts, documents, photography, and testimonies of Holocaust survivors.
You'll be driven back to your hotel at the end of this extremely touching day.
